About Clayton Ranch Market

The Moore Family came to Clayton, NM in 1987. We bought a Safeway store, remodeled and opened up as Clayton Ranch Market on July 21, 1987. In the two plus decades we’ve owned the store, we have invested millions of dollars replacing equipment, maintaining our building and improving our energy efficiency…making Ranch Market a better, nicer, place to shop.

We focus on having the best meats and freshest produce in the area. We now own part of a regional bakery and dairy, providing our customers with the freshest milk and bread in the region…all at very competitive prices.

In the last few years, we renewed our efforts to bring more variety to Clayton. As more and more of us travel around the world, and watch international cooking shows on TV, more people in rural New Mexico are looking for new and interesting varieties of produce, meats and cheeses. Diets have evolved over the years and we have brought in a line of gluten-free products. If you’re looking for something unique, please let us know and we’ll try to find it for you.

Finally, and most importantly, Ranch Market plays a big part in our community. We all live here, have kids in school and want Clayton, Union County and surrounding communities like Texline, TX-Felt, OK-Kenton, OK-Des Moines, NM to thrive. Between our Ranch Hands involvement, food we donate for school functions and money contributed to worthwhile events, we are very involved.

Our store hours are 6:00 am to 9:00 pm daily and we’re closed only three holidays – Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
